Perseids, Aurora and the Milky Way

So much going on in this single photo! On the left, you can see faint Aurora Borealis light pillars that these were invisible to the naked eye. The blueish ‘cloud’ in the middle is our Milky Way Galaxy. The streak of light on the right is a Perseids meteor. Taken August 12, 2015, at 11:35pm at Willow Beach, on the southern shore of Lake Simcoe.

Moon in Motion

I took several shots of the moon a couple of weeks ago and parsed them together into this single exposure, showing just a small portion of the path of the moon as it travels around the Earth.
