Daytona Beach, Florida, on a warm April evening.
Parliament Square Park, across from the Distillery District, in Toronto, Ontario. Assembled from 49 separate exposures using Photomerge in Adobe® Photoshop®.
The observatory opened in 1935 in Richmond Hill, Ontario, just north of Toronto. Until its sale in July 2008, the observatory was a research centre for the University of Toronto. Today there is ongoing dispute about what will happen with the land surrounding the observatory, which was sold to a housing developer. For this effect I used the Photomerge feature in Adobe® Photoshop® to align and blend together 79 separate photos, combining them into one massive panorama. Then I did a little more tweaking in Photoshop® to take that panorama and morph it into a planet. After a little more spit and polish, this was the result.
